Project Phantom Team Terms
Last updated August 2026. Applies to anyone applying to join or volunteer with Project Phantom.
01What Project Phantom Is Today
Project Phantom is a student-led aerospace initiative based in the UAE. It is not currently registered as a company, startup, or legal entity of any kind. There is no corporate structure behind it yet. You are joining an early-stage, informal project, not an employer.
Certain designs, systems, and concepts developed under Project Phantom are under review for patent protection and have not yet been granted a patent. Nothing here should be treated as final, filed, or legally secured intellectual property.
Project Phantom intends to become a formally registered company within the next few years. When that happens, these terms will very likely be replaced with a proper legal agreement, and anyone still involved at that point will be informed directly.
02No Pay, No Equity, No Stock
All roles within Project Phantom are voluntary and unpaid. There is no salary, wage, stipend, or other compensation for any role, current or future, unless a separate written agreement is signed at a later date.
No applicant or team member will be issued equity, shares, stock options, or any ownership stake in Project Phantom by virtue of applying, being accepted, or contributing work. If that ever changes for a specific individual, it will be set out in its own signed, separate agreement, not implied by this one.
03Confidentiality
As part of the project you may see designs, data, source code, or other technical material that hasn't been made public. Please treat that material as confidential and don't share it outside the team without checking with us first, especially anything tied to the patent-pending work mentioned above.
04Posting About Project Phantom
You're welcome, and encouraged, to post about your involvement with Project Phantom on your own social media or portfolio. We just ask that anything you post is accurate and represents the project fairly. Don't post anything false, misleading, or intended to damage the project or the team. If you're not sure whether something's fine to share publicly, ask first.
05How We Use Your Application Information
Information you submit in the application form (name, contact details, portfolio links, and your answers) will be used to:
- Review your application and reach out if shortlisted
- Internal team records while you're involved with the project
- Promotional or outreach purposes, for example featuring team members or contributors publicly, only in ways that are reasonable and not misleading
If you'd like your information removed from our records, contact us and we'll take care of it.
06Participation Is Temporary and At-Will
Being accepted onto the team doesn't guarantee any ongoing role, timeline, or future opportunity. Project Phantom can remove, pause, or end anyone's involvement at any time, for any reason, without notice. The same goes the other way: you're free to step away whenever you want.
07These Terms Can Change
Project Phantom may update, add to, or replace these terms at any time, at our discretion, as the project grows or its legal status changes. The version live on this page at the time is the one that applies. We'd recommend checking back periodically if you're an active team member.
08If You're Under 18
A lot of our team is still in high school, and we're glad to have you. Because you're a minor, we need a bit more than just your own agreement.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must also review this page and confirm they understand and agree to it before you take on any role, unpaid, no equity, and all, with Project Phantom. Please have them read this document with you, and be ready to confirm their consent when asked during the application or onboarding process. We may ask for a parent or guardian's contact details as part of that.
